Matteo Belli is a composer, conductor, and pianist.

He won two first prizes for the orchestral work trame di sangue grigio, which premiered during the 2022 Ruth Blaustein Rosenberg Concert Series at the Peabody Conservatory. His music has been performed by the Zhongshan Hall (Taiwan), Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino (Florence), Teatro Amazonas (Brazil), Dartmouth College (USA), Cantiere Internazionale d'Arte (Montepulciano), Altre Voci Ensemble (Italy), DUOroboros (Tuscany), and Talea Ensemble (NYC).

In 2022-24, he was an adjunct assistant professor of composition & music theory at Shenandoah University. In 2022-23, he taught a course on contemporary classical music at the Peabody Conservatory of The Johns Hopkins University. 

As a choral conductor and accompanist, he has worked in conservatories, theaters, and schools, both in Italy and the United States. His conducting repertoire includes works by Bach, Beethoven, Berio, Bernstein, Brahms, Duruflé, Fauré, Grossi, Handel, Haydn, Henze, Holst, Monteverdi, Mouret, Mozart, Palestrina, Pärt, Pezzati, Poulenc, Puccini, Renosto, Rheinberger, Rossini, Scarlatti, Stravinsky, Tallis, Tchaikovsky, and Wolf-Ferrari.

Currently, he's the music director and organist at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Clark, New Jersey.
